When Ashley told me she wanted something secluded and near water, I began my long search around Phoenix that ended in a short conclusion that it didn’t exist near home.  Our only option was to travel north and we settled on Sedona, AZ.  I have never had a client agree, or want to travel outside the city, so this trek made my heart sing!  I planned and dreamed about it for weeks!  That morning my husband had to keep reminding me to breath because I was so excited!  And nervous since we really didn’t know where in Sedona we would go.  I arrived early and, with the recommendation of a tourist agent, found this place.  It was MAGICAL.  There were fields, forrest, water and the most beautiful red rocks!  Everything right here!

If you look at this first image, Ashley had to walk across two logs, many water-covered stones, and walk through patches of snow to get over there.  It was my “dream spot”, and I just threw out the idea of her standing there only IF she felt comfortable.  Before I could even finish my sentence she was planning how she’d make the journey.  And that attitude (determination) summarized our session.  It was filled with crazy ideas and, as you can see, GORGEOUS results!

She was definitely my muse and I’m itching to get back up there with another client after Spring comes and the trees are full.
