Tommy and Kendra have been together for 11 years, but have known each other since preschool. Even though they have since moved to Brooklyn, their parents still celebrate holidays together!
It was important to these two to make it back to where their story began to celebrate their marriage. So, with the help of friends and family, they threw a NYE wedding in Tucson, AZ that will not quickly be forgotten!
The Marriott in downtown Tucson had a whole inside-outside vibe. The entire middle of the hotel was in a triangle where every level was visible.
Maybe I shouldn’t tell you this, but this photo was slightly staged. The groomsmen had a hard time pinning the boutonnieres and I actually did all of them after the best man tried…and failed.
Groomsmen photos on the top of an empty parking garage. Is there anything better? Oh, wait. With a moody, stormy sky! This was by far my favorite groomsmen portraits. These guys were so FUN!
Right next to where the gals were prepping was this awesome “bike church”. When I saw it, I knew we had to do something there not knowing Kendra already had planned on having the first look be there!
Kendra wore her mother’s wedding dress with an amazing cathedral veil.
What a wedding party! 8 Groomsmen, 1 Officiant, 1 ring bearer, 5 bridesmaids, 1 brides-man, 1 junior bridesmaid, and 2 flower girls. Don’t they look GOOD??
I had to restrain myself from just following these two around all evening! They were way more interested in collecting rocks than taking photos.
Before heading to the ceremony, the wedding party went over to the reception venue, The Whistle Stop Depot, to check out the decor and talk a few portraits (since we wouldn’t not be returning until after dark).
The entire venue was created from salvaged materials. There was character and details EVERYWHERE!
With a stormy sky swirling above, we headed to the ceremony!
The ceremony was at San Pedro Chapel, a small, unique church tucked away in Tucson.
Thomas Jr. and Thomas senior. They have such a strong bond.
Candles for each of Kendra and Tommy’s grandparents.
Tommy and Kendra wrote down their vows in these miniature personalized books.
The flowers are by Alexis Grace Florals.
Kendra changed into a while jumpsuit with this gorgeous skirt!
Each table number had a coordinating image from that age of Tommy and Kendra. One years old all the way to eighteen! Kendra commented that some of them were rather embarrassing. 🙂 But I am sure their friends and family loved reliving the times surrounding each year.
Left behind in Brooklyn was Tommy and Kendra’s beloved siamese cat. As a joke, their friends printed and framed an image that followed them everywhere.
These are absolutely incredible, Courtney! You are such a talented wedding photographer!!
Wow these images are stunning! Beautiful wedding and capturing it!!!
