OUR BRIDES ARE

Forget Pinterest and following the rules; your story is uniquely you and your photographs should be no different. You are a risk-taker who isn't afraid to get a little messy. You see tears and laughter as a sign of strength because you know it means you are present in the most important moments of your life.

DARING

YOU BELIEVE THAT

You love your life and all the chaos that comes with it. You see beauty in the mundane moments and planned a day around who you are. You don't live by a timeline or preset standards, but look to create life-long memories.

TRUTH IS BEAUTIFUL

OUR BRIDES VALUES

Let's be real- being authentic is scary. "What if I look silly when I cry?"  Oh, but what if your authenticity is contagious! What if, just maybe, beyond having beautiful photographs, you learn and grow together through this experience. You know that it is through Authenticity that we learn to love ourself and others.

AUTHENTICITY

You know emotions are

What is a photograph if it does not make you FEEL?
We find community and connection through our emotional, human experiences. The joy, hope, love, tears, giggles, anxiety, relief that is captured will be the moments you pass down to your children. They will experience your life through my lens. What will your legacy look like?

AWArDED IMAGES

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I RECEIVE?

You can expect a minimum of 50 per hour of photography coverage.

WILL WE RECEIVE DIGITAL FILES OF OUR PHOTOGRAPHS?

Yes! You will receive your images through an online digital gallery which will allow you to share, send and download all of your photographs.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE OUR PHOTOGRAPHS?

You can expect to receive your complete digital gallery in 6-8 weeks. I know that wait can be HARD! To help, I share a few photographs throughout the week following your wedding.

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

Yes. After the initial retainer payment of 25%, you have the choice of how you'd like to break up the balance. Once a month, a few payments, etc. You can make payments on the balance at your convenience. The complete balance is due 2 weeks prior to your wedding day.

CAN WE PRINT OUR PHOTOGRAPHS?

Please do! You will receive a print release so you can print wherever you deem best. If you do not currently have a pro lab, you have the option of purchasing prints (through your online digital gallery) through my own pro lab, White House Custom Color. See a real wedding gallery HERE and the products/pricing.
Albums are ordered through me and go through a short design process with a turnaround of about one month.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?

Honest. No matter what I am documenting, candid to formal portraits, I strive to have my photographs be an honest representation of your relationships and day.

WHAT GEAR DO YOU USE?

I dual shoot with Canon 5d Mark iv bodies and various lenses: 16-35mm, 24mm tilt-shift, 35mm, 45mm tilt-shift, 50mm, 85mm, and 135mm. I also use a mixture of Godox flashs and triggers.

DO YOU TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF ARIZONA?

Yes. I was raised to appreciate (and crave) adventure. I have been to all 48 continental states, lived in 6 states, and spent 3 years living in York, England. I was swept off my feet by a "Phoenician" and, while I call Arizona home, traveling and experiencing the world is still apart of our lives. Travel within the continental US is included when booking 8+ hours of coverage. Contact me for international travel pricing. **Special rates available for weddings in the UK.

CAN I HAVE IMAGES IN BOTH COLOR AND BLACK & WHITE?

During the editing process I will choose either color or black and white for each image based on my professional knowledge of what works best. Sometimes the lighting will allow me to convert a photograph to both, however, most of the time I choose one or the other.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you use second shooters?

Yes, and I recommend a second shooter for any weddings over 150 people. My second shooters are not in the learning process, but have the skills I feel match (or exceed) my own. I only work with assistants that I can 100% trust to handle anything your wedding day throws at them.
I cannot give you the second shooters name ahead of time since I work with a few different photographers and only confirm their availability about 1 month before your wedding day. Just trust me that someone I think is pretty stellar with be there.

what is the benefit of having a second shooter?

A second shooter allows me to be in two places at the same time which, in return, allows me to deliver more images for a well-rounded story.
For example, if the groom is getting ready in a different location or at the exact same time as the bride, you would have to decide which is more important to your story and I'd miss the other side of it. Or I can send my second shooter to the other location and not a single moment is missed!
I also have my second shooter cover your cocktail hour, getting candid photographs of your guests while we are photographing family or your bride and groom portraits.
Not only that, but second shooters also act as my assistant making my life easier. Because I work with the same rotation of photographers, they know me, how I work and can anticipate what I'm thinking and need. It makes my workflow easier.

Although it's nice to have the extra camera there, it is not a requirement. I can and do document weddings alone and I'm confident I can tell a story you will love. I would just suggest adding on a second shooter if the getting ready locations of the bride and groom are different, as mentioned above.

Can you recommend some other vendor?

Heck yes! Please, ask me! One of the best things about being saturated into the wedding photography community is that I am now friendors (friend + vendors) with some of the most talented people! Here are some of my favorites sure to make your wedding the best Phoenix/Scottsdale has to offer:

what happens if you die?

Oh, moly! Haha. This question ALWAYS comes up at my consultations. It's so morbid! Well, I mean, usually people package it like, "What if you can't make it to the wedding?" But let's be real... if I'm not there, it's more than a migraine. So what happens? Well, my friends would 100% rally around my family, that's for sure. Some of my closest friends (also amazing photographers) have created back-up plans for each other. They have access to my studio management software, know what I still need to accomplish, what is coming up and what needs to be delivered. If something happens and I cannot make it to your wedding, they will be the first to know and have all they need to contact an equally amazing photographer who meets or exceeds my standards to photograph your wedding. Your contract states that my business is responsible for finding you someone FIRST. If that cannot happen and you do not approve of the replacement photographer, you are also able to get a full refund and seek out your own photographer.
Ok, can we move onto something way more fun to talk about?

I am not photogenic.

I have seen it said that "authentic is the new photogenic" and I love that! Listen, if you are wanting me to turn you into some covergirl model, I may not be the right photographer for you. Now, I hope you feel extra beautiful and my images help you to see your beauty, but I will NOT make you into someone you're not. Ever. I want you to be the truest you: your quirks, crooked smile, that silly laugh you get when your husband looks at you. My goal is to create authentically beautiful images. You know, just don't worry about how you look at all. Let me figure it out and just know that your comfort is my #1 goal, too. So, let's be awkward together!

Do you use flash?

Yes, although my default is to always push my ability to use ambient light first. That means I am okay shooting at high ISO, introducing digital noise if I feel that flash will hinder my ability to capture the emotion of the moment. The only times I use flash are when the ambient is not enough to get an exposure that works. For example, if you are having an outdoor, evening reception, I will most likely be using on camera flash to help light your faces. Depending on the location, I may set up off-camera flashes (two flash on light stands) around the dance floor.
I use on-camera flash for open dancing at every wedding to capture my signature dancing images where the subjects are frozen and the lights are streaming all around them. I do this for both indoor and outdoor receptions, regardless how much ambient light is available.
I will also use various flashes for artistic purposes, if time allows and you may or may not see my set something up when you're getting ready. (It's a great time for me to PLAY!)

have you shot at my venue before?

I get this question from concerned brides who are afraid I will not know how to handle their venue and it's limitations. Every venue has limitations, for sure, but it is actually not necessary for me to know them beforehand. The only thing I will need to know is when the sun is setting, something that doesn't change regardless of your venue.
I also have found that I work best on-the-fly as it forces me to think on my feet and create images I have never seen or done before.
