This year was so fun now that Britain is old enough to really understand and get excited.  He squealed over the tree decorating, presents and all the Christmas lights we passed driving!

There still was a bit of confusion for Britian since Davy’s birthday is right before Christmas and my husband is a Christmas baby.  Britain kept asking, the days following up to Dec 25th, if it was someone’s birthday.

Britain: “Is it your birthday?”
Me: “No. No ones birthday today.”
Britain: “Is it papa’s birthday?”
Me: “Nope.”
Britain: “Oh, is it Daddy’s birthday?”
…and so on.

Then, when it came to talking about Jesus and how we are celebrating His birthday,

Me: “We are going to celebrate Jesus’ birthday on Christmas!”
Britain: “Yes! And daddys!”
Me: “You are right, but Jesus is special.”
Britain: “Mommy, Daddy is very special too.”

Taking family pictures is difficult when you’re the photographer in the family!  This Christmas, I set my camera up and handed it off to my mum.  She missed focus on a bunch (forgot to focus all together), but with some sharpening, I got some really great keepers like the one above.

And here are some personal pictures from December…
